Regional food & pleasure have a long tradition at the Gastagwirt
From 1380 on the Gastagwirt had its own agriculture. From the beginning we tried use entirely regional products. We always produced our products by ourselfes - and the products, we could not produce, we simple got from our neighbours. This meets our definition of regionality and that is the way, we want to present our culinary to you in the Gastagwirt
Regionality is our philosophy
Not, because the word "regional" is kind of hip at the moment. We always lived like that. In former times, where there were no supermarkets at every corner, we had to produce our food. We had the farm, our live stock and our products. It was a hard work - but it was worth it. The products, we could not make ourselfes, we simple got from our neightbours. They bought different kinds of products at our farm. Everything was floating - everything was regional and sustainable.
"Quality" ist the core value
Fritz Maislinger is not just your host. He is farmer and works in his own biological or organic farm. It is the base for all regional and sustainable working. Therefore we really care for quality. Fritz and his team hold old animal breeds, which we almost forgot about. Many of them are not so productive like others. But they have quality and care for the amazingly good products, which find their way from the farm to the Gastagwirt kitchen. You can tast this 100%.
